Great to see a positive response to our new LinkedIn Sync feature. Two posts I particularly enjoyed...

One from Ian Schafer:

"When two companies get together to mash their services up...all because consumers spoke up and said it would make their lives more organized, it’s a thing of beauty. LinkedIn and Plaxo have joined forces to allow Plaxo Members to sync their LinkedIn contacts with their Plaxo address book, effectively mashing their flagship products. I’ve synced my two accounts, and it worked splendidly. I feel more organized and connected already."

And one on Mashable:

"Using the LinkedIn sync feature, the Plaxo and LinkedIn communities can now be joined. The feature has been requested by several Plaxo members, wanting the ability to sync their LinkedIn contacts as they do with their Google, Yahoo and Outlook accounts, among others."

I also heard directly from quite a few users. Please keep your suggestions and feedback coming. And, yes, I heard you; it's clear that there is strong interest in our upcoming Google sync!

Let's start with: I'm a Premium Subscriber.

It is all fuzzy and warm in Silicon Valley I see by reading your Blog entry for today. Well, I'm not buying it. If you can find a way to interface with Linked In (apparently in a heartbeat), why has it taken over two years and counting to get stable code for Thunderbird?

With T-Bird closing in on a hundred million users it would seem a very good way to supplement your business model. Yeah, I read it. Sounds good. Oh, BTW I know you haven't gotten the T-Bird 1.5 code stable, so it may come as a surprise that they released 2.0 the other day.

When I read your business model I was getting all that warm and fuzzy myself until I happened to remember that I haven't been able to sync my Address Book for six months.

So, why are you unable to get T-Bird to work? And why did I have to go through a back door to get to anything remotely resembling Tech support.

Sincerely,

~everett

Thanks for posting to our blog. On the Thunderbird question, wanted to alert you that we just released a version with support for Thunderbird 2.0.

Also, as a Premium subscriber, you've got access to full support. But should you ever feel you're not getting fast enough response, feel free to contact me directly, by e-mailing to john at plaxo dot com.
