This is a rip-off. Once you subscribe to their premium service, you will be charged automatically every year, with no way of preventing it, no notification or email before it and no invoice or notification provided even after your card has been charged. This happened to me, even though I did not use it for over 9 months. And why didn’t I use it? Because it ate hundreds of my contacts. I strongly recommend you avoid this service.

Hi Peter – I’m sorry about any confusion with regard to your account billing.. When users initially sign up for the service, we give a 30-day free trial to try out the service… If the service is cancelled with-in that time (30 days), then the user would not be charged. Otherwise, the annual charges for the service are charged.

If the user cancel’s the renewal with-in the year, the account will not be auto-renewed otherwise, it is only our belief to give our users un-interrupted service by renewing the service.. When a user initially signs up for the Premium service, we do clearly mention that the charges are auto-renewed and the user can cancel anytime with-in the renewal period via emailchat or by calling our 24×7 phone support team..

Further, I can assure you that Plaxo does not delete any contacts automatically.. We have a free tool online using which you can roll back 90 days.

I will shortly email you more information about your account. I hope this helps.
