Very kwel. Now plaxo ought to offer hosted single sign on for websites. They would take over the net if they did.

Preston, I was excited when I saw your post about Facebook integration with Plaxo.

However, I must have misinterpreted your instructions. I clicked on the link was required to log in using my regular Plaxo account ID and password. Once inside, there is zero information about any type of Facebook link. I’m considered fairly technology-literate. What am I missing?

Very nice, but… For when full sync with google and google apps? Yahoo? Hotmail? These were the main reasons I started using plaxo, some time ago, and bought plaxo premium.
Now I have a android device, synced with my google apps account, synchronization between it and my outlook contacts becomes more and more important. And my corporate sysadmins refuse to let us peons use activesync, so I can’t easily access the contacts and agenda with my N1. Facebook sync works well enough inside my N1, so it really wasn’t that much needed.

    Hi Philip–
No worries if you couldn’t figure it out, we’ll see what we can do to make it easier.

You can connect Facebook in two ways:
    1. If your email address is the same between Facebook and Plaxo, just click the Facebook Login button on the Plaxo signin page: https://www.plaxo.com/auth
    2. Alternatively you can connect Facebook directly here: http://www.plaxo.com/settings/facebook

    Thanks!
    Preston

    Jose–
I hear you on wanting full sync with Google and others. The good news is that we released a new Beta version of Google Sync (in late July) and plan on fully launching it in the coming weeks. You’re more than welcome to give it a spin if you like.

As for Yahoo and Hotmail sync, I can say that it is often requested by our customers and is definitely something we’re investigating to see how we can bring it back with the high quality our customers deserve.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your support etiennetayler. :)

What do you have in mind with single sign on? Are you interested in logging into other websites using your Plaxo login?

    Thank you Preston!
Does it work now with google apps, or only with plain google?

Well, I have a google apps account that I can’t synchronise, as it always says that the folder has been removed. I can’t even remove that account and try again. Will have to check with helpdesk.
